Black Rock Collection

A dark softness is found in this collection of black cushions. It is more unusual to find a fleece which is naturally black rather than dark brown. However, these cushions are handwoven from the hand spun fleece of a rare breed black Soay sheep. Design inspiration reflects the grey cliffs, when they are in shadow, together with the black netting of the crab pots. Occasional bands of colour reflect the peeling painted stripes on the fishing boats.
